At Castrosúa, we are celebrating after the jury of the prestigious international Red Dot award has distinguished our New City vehicle as one of the best product designs of the year. The awards ceremony will take place during a gala to be held on June 29th in the German town of Essen.
The New City is our group’s new offering for the urban segment. A body that combines modernity and technology to create a bus with accentuated lines and a distinctive aesthetic.
The distinction we have obtained is especially relevant because the Red Dot awards are considered the “Oscars” of design. Thus, their objective is to recognize the quality and innovation of designers and manufacturers in the creation of new domestic and professional products.
With this distinction, our company joins the select group of companies and individuals who have received the Red Dot Award, created in 1955, and which includes renowned brands such as Apple, Peugeot, Lamborghini, or Audi.
International Jury
New City was one of the 4,928 innovative proposals, from 56 different countries, competing to receive the Red Dot award in this year 2015. A jury made up of people from 25 countries, including specialized journalists, renowned designers, and academics related to this field of activity, chose this model as one of the winning proposals for the Red Dot Award for Best Product Design in the Vehicles category.
