Local and European Mayors’ Pact for Climate Change

The Paris Agreement (2016), an international treaty that seeks to strengthen the response to climate change in all countries, inspired the creation of the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy in 2017. In this battle for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, local governments were also called to action, hence the foundation of this global mayors’ pact. These mayors and their teams voluntarily undertake local actions that, together, will have a global effect. And, yes, as you may have guessed, many of these actions are aimed at updating their public transport, investing in zero-emission buses like our Nelec electric bus.
