For three years now, Juan Tato López has been working as a driver at Autocares Presas S.L., an operator based in the town of Lalín in Pontevedra, which has extensive experience in the road passenger transport sector. In his job, Tato undertakes numerous trips on national and international routes.
This driver states that he loves his job and is very grateful to the Presas company for the professional opportunity it offers him, as it allows him to “travel constantly” and “discover and visit countless places,” as well as “meet magnificent people who are worthwhile.”
As he assures our blog, since he started working as a driver, he has perceived “constant evolution” in the bus industry, “both in terms of safety and passenger comfort.” In this regard, he highlights that tangible proof of this evolution are the improvements made in terms of “bodywork design.”
Numerous innovative features
But if there is something that particularly affects him in his professional sphere, it is any novelty related to the driver’s position. “I think more thought is given to us, as the driver’s position has gained in both safety and comfort,” he states. Along with this, he acknowledges that the numerous innovative features make driving buses and coaches easier and help drivers.
In this regard, Tato states that the Stellae, a model he regularly drives for the Presas company, is a clear example of comfortable bodywork for the driver. “I would almost say it is among the most comfortable,” emphasizes this bus driving expert. And he adds that “if the driver is comfortable in their position, this translates into a more pleasant journey for the passengers.”

Continuing the line of progress
For all these reasons, Juan encourages the bodywork industry to continue on the “line of progress” of promoting the health and ergonomics of drivers, helping them feel more “rested” while doing their job.
This driver also wants to express special thanks to all of us at Castrosua. “Driving the Stellae bodywork, in particular, is ideal for me because it is easy to handle, uncomplicated, and has all the optimal features to make any type of journey enjoyable.”
In this regard, he highlights our company’s good work in manufacturing bodywork in which “hardly any” “noise” is perceived inside and which is characterized by excellent “visibility” from the driver’s position.
And from here, we thank Juan for offering to be interviewed and for his willingness. At Castrosua, we continue to work to make the job of bus and coach drivers more comfortable and safer every day.
