Interview with Manuel Botana
1.- In which department do you work? How long have you been with the company?
I worked for five years in the Finishing section, on a retirement contract, and I have currently been in Prototypes for three years, where I am responsible for making molds and parts for the vehicles. I do a bit of everything, you know.
2.- Did you think you could be the winner? How do you feel after receiving an award voted on by your own colleagues?
I didn’t expect to win. I feel happy and very pleased. Frankly, what flattered me the most was that Don José, a prestigious figure in the sector, presented me with the award, and being able to take a photo with him. In fact, my father, who worked 42 years in this company, doesn’t have a photo with Don Jose, and I now have one.
In addition, I will say that I feel very proud that my colleagues thought of me to receive this award. I want to thank everyone who voted for me.
3.- What advice do you offer to those who want to compete for the award next year? What is the secret to embodying the group’s corporate values?
I try to get along with everyone at work. In this regard, not speaking ill of anyone is my motto. After all, it’s about being kind and respectful to everyone. That’s how I try to be.
Interview with Alberto Cores González
1) In which department do you work?
In the structure section, where I have been for 11 years.
2) Did you think you could be the winner? How do you feel after receiving the award voted on by your colleagues?
No, because it is very difficult to be nominated among so many colleagues. We are many workers in the factory and we have a very good atmosphere among us.
The truth is that it was a satisfaction and joy to hear my name, after so many hours shared with them. You feel valued. I feel that the work I do day by day was rewarded with the award.
3) What advice do you offer to those who want to compete for the award next year? What is the secret to embodying the group’s corporate values?
There is no secret, you have to be yourself. You have to be there always. Some colleague asks you for help or advice.
The work done does not always turn out as one wants or wishes, so when a problem arises, that’s when you see a good colleague.
The secret is to always be very positive, to collaborate with colleagues when they ask you. Create a good atmosphere and then everything is more bearable and easier.
Do your job as best as possible so that the person who comes after you finds everything much more comfortable and easier to continue the work. If we all do our bit, the work turns out much better.
