Santiago, January 28, 2016.- The Galician bodybuilder Castrosua recently delivered a total of 18 units of its Magnus.E model to the Madrid-based company Grupo Ruiz. With a very versatile appearance and technical characteristics that make for a high-quality, accessible, and durable vehicle (implying lower maintenance costs for operators), the Magnus.E is the model from Grupo Castrosua specifically designed for commuter and medium-distance services (primarily for passenger transport services in the outskirts of cities).
Of the 18 units delivered to Grupo Ruiz, a total of 15 will be allocated to Empresa Martín: seven 13-meter low-entry Magnus.E units and eight 10.8-meter Magnus.E units. All of them are built on Scania KUB 4×2 chassis, with CNG propulsion (nine-liter engine and nine gas cylinders).
Homologated as Class II, the units are equipped with Thermoking AX900 (for 13-meter units) and AX 700 (for 10.8-meter units) air conditioning systems; a Masats Sam 1001 ramp; Hannover destination displays; and electric doors. Each unit has two USB ports on its central platform and pre-installation for ticket validation and vending machines, as well as for the Advanced Operation System (SAE). Finally, the units have between 34 and 39 seats each, Fainsa Metropolis 2.0 model.
High-floor Magnus.E: pioneering development
The remaining three units, destined for Empresa Ruiz, have been built on a high-floor chassis on a Scania KIB 4×2 chassis with CNG propulsion (nine-liter engine and 13 gas cylinders). Homologated as Class II, each unit is 13 meters long and has 51 seats (Sunviauto Ligerus reclining model).
These three bodies are part of a pioneering development in Europe, first promoted by Castrosua in 2014, which has successfully met the various technical requirements of different operating companies to which deliveries of this model have been made.
