GRUPO CASTROSUA WILL DELIVER 73 UNITS TO THE UTE EMPRESA SAGALÉS – AUTOCARES CALDENTEY FOR THE TIB OF MALLORCA

The UTE Sagalés – Autocares Caldentey was one of the awardees of the new TIB CTM transport system, Consorcio de Trasnportes de Mallorca, which in turn has been the one that has renewed the most vehicles with Grupo Castrosua. In this vehicle renewal, GNC propulsion has predominated due to its exceptional ecological characteristics, performance, and operating costs at the same level as diesel, or even improved.

This UTE of Empresa Sagalés – Autocares Caldentey has acquired a total of 73 vehicles from Grupo Castrosua on Scania Hispania chassis, all of them natural gas powered. Of the total vehicles, 7 are 12m urban buses with New City bodywork, continuous low floor, and 3 doors, and the remaining 66 are Magnus.E bodywork for interurban routes.

Within the Magnus.E models, there are 36 Low Entry units, of which 26 are 13m vehicles and 10 are 18m long, and the remaining 30 are high-floor models, all with luggage racks. These include 14 units of 13 meters and the remaining 16 of 15 meters.

The buses include one of the most avant-garde safety and energy-saving packages, integrating up to 15 different systems such as lane departure warning, emergency braking, fatigue detector, hands-free traffic sign reader, and alcoholock, which only allows the bus to start if the driver is below the permitted alcohol limit.

The vehicles to be delivered incorporate the latest generation improvements and technologies, two or three interior passenger information screens; up to 5 security cameras with video recording; anti-vandalism security partition; perimeter vision system and Stratio remote diagnosis system, 16 USB ports; and a system for transporting two bicycles inside the bus.
