GRUPO CASTROSUA SHOWCASES THE NOVELTIES OF THE MAGNUS.H AT AN EVENT IN MADRID

September 16, 2021
  • Castrosua continues to expand its hybrid range and now also offers a high-floor version, which can therefore be approved in Class III.

Grupo Castrosua held an open house this Thursday, September 16, at Casa Grande in Torrejón de Ardoz, from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM. There, its clients and collaborators were able to learn firsthand about the advantages of this bodywork and enjoy a small reception with the CEO of Grupo Castrosua, Beatriz Castro, as well as its Commercial Director, Ana López, the Commercial Manager for the southern region, Francisco Romero, and its Commercial Technician, Ramón Senlle.

The Magnus.H is the bodywork used by Grupo Castrosua for the hybrid segment. The main novelty of the vehicle, and the primary reason for the presentation, is that in addition to being approved in Class II, it can also be approved in Class III. Therefore, in addition to the already known Low Entry version, it is now also possible to produce it in a High Floor configuration. This vehicle, available in 11, 12, 13, and 15-meter lengths, complies with school transport regulations.

Among other advantages of the Magnus.H, its weight reduction stands out, achieved through improvements in the structural framework with certified high-quality profiles, and the option to replace the floor’s wood with composite material. This latter feature, in addition to reducing weight, improves thermal and acoustic insulation and even water absorption (practically zero).

In the Magnus.H, all lighting is Full LED, which translates into lower consumption and reduced maintenance. It is also a fully accessible vehicle with no shelves in the front area except for those required by the wheel arches. It features spaces for wheelchairs measuring 1,400mm, anticipating compliance with regulations (R.D. 1544/2007 basic conditions for accessibility in transport), and offers larger spaces and a lowered window line that enhances passenger comfort, lighting, and the sense of spaciousness.

Its driver’s seat, with a renewed design and a key factor in the design of our bodywork, is highly ergonomic and equipped with a camera instead of an interior mirror. Let’s not forget that the Magnus.H is also a vehicle that provides access to all mechanical components, making maintenance easier, recognizing the importance of this aspect for our clients.

Nearly 60 units of the Magnus.H are already operating in Spanish cities with very good results, achieving fuel savings of around 25% in most operations. The vehicle presented at the event was a 15m, low entry, Class II Magnus.H on a Scania Group K320 chassis, which will operate on the Barcelona aerobus service. We thank Monbus for making this unit available for display at the event.

At Grupo Castrosua, we are very grateful for the positive reception of this presentation and for having had the opportunity to share this moment with many of our clients and collaborators from the Madrid area and other parts of Spain.
