During the award ceremony, Sergio Tarrio – R&D+i and Design project coordinator at Castrosua and one of the creators of the award-winning model – expressed gratitude for this recognition of the New City model, stating that it “offers significant benefits to operators and users.”
Tarrio highlighted that “safety, functionality, and user comfort” were the guiding principles in the design of this model, which aims to contribute to “promoting the use of public transport in cities.”
