- This is a collective challenge promoted by MAGRAMA and other entities, aiming to encourage the adoption of committed actions against climate change
Santiago, October 2, 2015.- The Galician bus manufacturer Grupo Castrosua has decided to support the climate change initiative One Million for Climate, promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment and entities such as the Biodiversity Foundation, Ecodes, or Ineco, among others. To date, more than fifty organizations and companies have joined this campaign, as can be seen on its official website (unmillonporelclima.es).
The initiative promotes the sum of individual actions and those from corporations, administrations, businesses, social entities, or NGOs, among other organizations, to reduce the effects of climate change. Appealing, therefore, to individual and collective responsibility, One Million for Climate will present a breakdown of actions taken to reduce emissions at COP21 in Paris.
Within the framework of this campaign, Grupo Castrosua commits to using LED lighting in its facilities; installing switches or dimmers to adjust lighting levels by zone; reducing and optimizing product packaging; using dual-flush or interruptible toilet systems; optimizing paper usage in the company’s administrative offices; and providing efficient driving courses for the company’s various stakeholders, among other matters.
