In 2018, we began developing a new project at our CARSA facilities called “New painting processes for passenger vehicles to improve productive, energy, and environmental efficiency”.
This project involved CARSA making an investment of over 725,000 euros in 2018, which, in addition to improving the efficiency of its key processes, has allowed for sustained growth in its industrial capacity to manufacture vehicles for passenger transport. The investment is part of CARSA’s 2018-2013 Growth Plan.
At the beginning of this year, 2019, we formalized CDTI’s support for this project. CDTI’s aid was provided in February 2019 through the Direct Innovation Line, with the granting of a partially repayable loan totaling €614,410.60. This aid is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Operational Program for Research, Development, and Innovation for the Benefit of Businesses – Technology Fund, 2007-2013.
CDTI is the acronym for the Center for Technological and Industrial Development, a public entity dependent on the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities.
