Last Friday, November 10, five new buses bodied by Castrosua and on an Iveco Urbanway chassis were presented in Toledo for Unauto, a company belonging to Grupo Ruiz.
The five units, powered by CNG, have been bodied by Castrosua in the New City model, four of them with a length of 12 meters and one with a length of 10.5 meters. It is worth highlighting the level of technology and equipment with which these buses are provided; they have a fully low floor, baby seats, manual and automatic access platforms for PRM, as well as video surveillance, USB chargers, and onboard WIFI, visual and acoustic information for users, signs, and a capacity of 90 passengers.
The presentation was attended by the mayor of Toledo, Milagros Tolón, the Councilor for Mobility, Citizen Security, and Civil Protection, Juan José Pérez del Pino, the Delegate Councilor for Participation and Transparency, Helena Galán, the General Director of Grupo Ruiz, Alberto Egido, and the Manager of Unauto, Ramón Martínez, as well as representatives from Iveco and Castrosua, including their national sales director, Ramón Fernández.
With the incorporation of these five new units, 80% of Unauto’s fleet is powered by compressed natural gas, with an average fleet age of 4.2 years, placing the company at the forefront of new technologies and the use of ecological and less polluting fuels. With this acquisition, Unauto’s fleet will have a total of 44 urban buses.
