GRUPO CASTROSUA DELIVERS 24 BUSES TO VITRASA

August 3, 2017

The collective transport company of Vigo, VITRASA, belonging to the Avanza Group, has just presented 24 new buses that will become part of the company’s current fleet of 124 vehicles.

Specifically, these are 20 buses 12 meters long and 4 articulated buses 18 meters each, all with Castrosua’s New City bodywork on a MAN chassis. One of the main innovations of these latter vehicles is that they have a translucent bellows at the top, which improves luminosity in the rear of the bus.

The standard buses have 26 seats, two spaces for wheelchairs, and room for 80 standing passengers, while the articulated buses have 42 seats, space for two wheelchairs, and room for 108 standing passengers.

In addition to having hot/cold air conditioning and anti-fogging, among other equipment, these buses have free internet access, several USB connectors, and half a dozen video surveillance cameras. The video surveillance systems offer real-time images that are received at the company’s command post and serve as an ally to the police in cases of theft or assault complaints.
