On January 19th, the 17 Magnus.E model units, powered by CNG, which Castrosua has bodied for Grupo Ruiz, were presented. With a very versatile appearance and technical characteristics that make up a high-quality, accessible, and resistant vehicle, the Magnus.E is Grupo Castrosua’s model aimed at providing passenger transport services on the outskirts of cities.
The presentation event took place in Plaza Mayor, Leganés, and was attended by the Minister of Transport, Housing, and Infrastructure of the Community of Madrid, Rosalía Gonzalo, the Mayor of Leganés, Santiago Llorente Gutiérrez, the Manager of the Regional Transport Consortium, Alfonso Sánchez Vicente, as well as executives from Grupo Ruiz, Castrosua, MAN, and Scania.
Empresa Ruiz incorporates 3 of the 17 units bodied on a Scania KIB 4×2 high-floor chassis with CNG propulsion into its fleet. Approved as Class II, each unit is 13 meters long and has 51 seats for seated passengers and space for wheelchair users.
These 3 Castrosua units, manufactured at the Santiago de Compostela plant, are equipped with a lifting platform for passengers with reduced mobility, air conditioning, hot/cold anti-fog system, and tinted windows for greater sun protection. They have MP3 radio, also with an independent speaker for the driver, and double USB ports for all passengers.
Of the 17 units delivered, a total of 14 in low-entry format will be allocated to Empresa Martín. These units were bodied at the Villagarcía de Arousa plant, 7 of them on Scania KUB CNG chassis and the other 7 on MAN A69 chassis.
The Magnus E LE bodied on Scania chassis, 10.8 meters long, have 34 seats for passengers, space for a wheelchair, and capacity for 36 standing passengers.
As for the Magnus E LE bodied on MAN A69 chassis, they have different lengths; 5 units are 10.6m long, and the rest are 13m. The 10.6m units have 32 seats for passengers, space for a wheelchair, and capacity for 39 standing passengers. The 13m bodies have 39 seats for passengers, space for a wheelchair user, and capacity for 40 standing passengers.
The Magnus E LE units for Empresa Martín are equipped with two doors, automatic and manual ramps for greater accessibility, air conditioning and hot/cold anti-fog system, gray parsol windows with folding stanchions, and front, side, and rear destination signs.
For passenger enjoyment, they have MP3 radio, also with an independent speaker for the driver, and two double USB ports in the platform area. They also incorporate LED interior lighting, a closed-circuit video surveillance system, and an Advanced Operation System, as well as ticket canceling and vending machines.
In Castrosua’s Magnus E model, the driver’s cabin is ergonomically designed to make driving tasks comfortable and efficient. All necessary controls, such as air conditioning, anti-fog, radio, and destination sign consoles, among others, are housed in the upper dashboard unit and are easily accessible without interfering with the driver’s visibility.
