From Grupo Castrosua, we offer an extensive network of after-sales service workshops throughout Spain. One of these workshops is Consman Trucks, which we usually just call ‘Consman’.
Located in the town of Castellbisbal in the province of Barcelona, Consman offers a comprehensive maintenance and repair service for buses and coaches, which stands out for its excellent communication, agile service, and above all, a strong commitment to the customer.
Entrusting our vehicles to a workshop with these characteristics is vital for us, as it allows us to address and resolve all potential issues with each unit during a single vehicle downtime. This way, we optimize waiting times and travel.
A Bit of History
Consman began its operations in 1985, and in 1990, they expanded their scope of work to include the repair and maintenance of urban and interurban buses.
However, a decade later, in 2000, a strategic relocation took place, and the current facilities in Castellbisbal were established. This is where the service workshop is currently located, and where, starting in 2010, they began to adopt new technologies for hybrid vehicles.
Two years later, they started performing retrofits (“hybridizations of diesel to diesel-electric vehicles”) for TMB Diesel-Hybrid vehicles, and in 2014, due to high demand, the structure dedicated exclusively to new automotive technologies was expanded.
What is Consman like Today?
Today, their entire journey has resulted in a consolidated team with extensive training and continuous equipment updates. The human team is central to carrying out all tasks with the highest quality and ensuring high customer satisfaction. 30 employees and three workshop managers strive daily to achieve this.
Consman offers various service areas for buses and coaches within its more than 3200 m² of covered area and 8000 m² of outdoor space:
- Bodywork service
- Electrical
- Sheet metal
- Painting
- Air conditioning
- Mechanical and Power Train
To carry out all services, the extensive area has been specifically designed to ensure a rational workflow when addressing repair and maintenance tasks, thereby avoiding inefficient and unnecessary vehicle movements.
And what is the immediate consequence of this design? An increase in the workshop’s service efficiency and effectiveness. This, in turn, leads to greater operational profitability and reduced final costs.
Furthermore, one of Consman’s key differentiators compared to other workshops is the incorporation of cutting-edge technological elements for the proper performance of factory functions. For instance, this service workshop is equipped with diagnostic tools for every service it provides.
Additionally, they have a painting line for buses up to 15 meters long, comprising a preparation area, a painting booth, and finishing sections, spanning 60 meters in length. They also have a 50-meter-long bench for cold correction or preparation of chassis and bodywork.
The facilities are completed with 16 mobile lifting columns, a fixed three-piston mobile lift with a 12-ton capacity each, an automated Kardex storage system, and similarly, the workshop features fully digitized documentary traceability.
We Speak with Toni Herencia, Director of Consman
The recent addition of an After-Sales Administrator completes the staff at Consman, a team of professionals comprising 30 employees and three managers.
What stands out most about them is the human quality of all the staff and, of course, their commitment to the project, which results in a strong dedication from the workshop to its clients.

To delve into Consman’s daily operations, we spoke with Toni Herencia, the workshop’s director, who explains that their most notable function, as an official Castrosua service center, is the effort to provide direct customer attention, highlighting, among other services, the following tasks:
- Customer service as if they were at the factory, in a close and secure manner.
- Agility in finding solutions in collaboration with the factory’s various departments.
- Adaptation to customer needs.
- Representing the brand at the level Grupo Castrosua deserves.
Toni Herencia joined the Consman team in 2004. “The main reason for joining the company was the perception that it was a dynamic company, open to new challenges, and always focused on providing the best customer service,” he comments, adding, “Since joining Consman, my professional and personal evolution and growth have been continuous.” One of the details that marked a turning point for him at the workshop occurred in 2010 when the workshop began adapting to new mobility technologies.

Working with Grupo Castrosua has led to exponential growth, according to Toni Herencia, especially since integrating into our service network, thanks to our support and continuous training. He highlights several clients who benefit from personalized, high-quality customer service, such as Transports de Barcelona, Soler i Sauret, Tusgsal, Baix Bus, Mataró Bus, Transports Urbans de Sabadell, Sagalés, etc.
And all this work is filled with anecdotes, many anecdotes from all these years of working together. Toni Herencia tells us that there are a thousand and one battles with Castrosua’s personnel, with After-Sales, Quality, Logistics, Homologations… always to provide solutions and service to the clients.
