Grupo Castrosua has been awarded a contract for the Krakow City Council for 49 Scania chassis units. In collaboration with Scania Polska, the company will supply two batches of 12-meter and 11-meter buses for the Polish operator Mobilis, part of the prestigious Egged Group based in Israel with a strong presence in Poland, Hungary, and the Netherlands.
Representatives from Egged in Europe, along with Scania Polska, visited Castrosua’s facilities to see firsthand the quality and innovation of Grupo Castrosua and to demonstrate their capability to deliver a product that will meet all the requirements and specifications of the contract. Recently, a team from the bodywork manufacturer also traveled to Poland to finalize all aspects related to Mobilis’s needs.
The models awarded to Grupo Castrosua are urban units with low-floor New City bodywork and CNG, equipped with Scania CCB 4×2 CNG chassis of 10.6 meters and 12 meters.
Highlighting Castrosua’s commitment to customization and comfort, the 12-meter models are designed with capacity for 25 seats and two spaces for People with Reduced Mobility (PRMs), in addition to three doors. On the other hand, the 10.6-meter models offer capacity for 22 seats and one PRM space, with two doors.
“This award is a clear testament to Castrosua’s commitment to quality and innovation in the bus manufacturing industry,” commented Pablo Seco, International KAM at Castrosua. “The collaboration with Scania Polska and Mobilis on this project has been extraordinary, and we look forward to continuing to build strong relationships in the Polish market.”
