- This initiative favors career guidance by bringing together final-year students or recent graduates with company executives and professionals
Santiago, February 1, 2016.- This morning, the inaugural session of the Mentoring and Professional Development Program promoted by the University of Santiago de Compostela took place in Santiago de Compostela, presided over by the highest Galician authority, Alberto Núñez Feijóo. The initiative, to which Grupo Castrosua has joined, brings together final-year students or recent graduates with company executives and professionals, so that they can provide them with career guidance.
Juan Luis Castro, president of Grupo Castrosua, and Enrique Ulloa, the firm’s executive director, will participate in this Mentoring program, providing keys and support in the job search and in the development of a professional project for their students. Specifically, it is up to the latter to take the initiative and contact the mentors assigned to them to plan the objectives of the advisory and training period.
The initiative is promoted by the Vice-Rectorate for Students, Culture and Corporate Responsibility of the University of Santiago de Compostela and aims to reduce the uncertainty of recent graduates or final-year students and adequately orient their profile to the labor market.

In addition to the president of the Xunta and the representatives of the participating companies, the rector of the USC, Juan Viaño; the Minister of Education of the Xunta, Román Rodríguez, and the councilor for Equality, Economic Development and Tourism of the Santiago City Council, Marta Lois, among other authorities, participated in the program’s inaugural session.
