Tussam Sevilla continues to modernize and update its fleet, and once again entrusts Castrosua with the bodywork of 15 new compressed natural gas-powered vehicles, on a Man A22 chassis.
The new 12-meter City Versus have a capacity for 27 seated passengers and two reserved spaces adapted for people with reduced mobility. To access these spaces, the vehicles are equipped with automatic and manual ramps. They also have 3 doors for better passenger flow and cold air curtains over each door to ensure an optimal temperature inside the vehicle.
The Executive Vice President of Tussam, Juan Carlos Cabrera, attended their presentation and highlighted this boost to the “renewal and modernization” of the fleet, its greater environmental respect, and the additional equipment incorporated to facilitate access for people with functional diversity.
The vehicles are also equipped with low heat transmission windows, while large sliding windows have been added to increase air renewal capacity while the vehicle is in motion. As has become customary, Tussam’s City Versus also feature a fire suppression system.
Passengers have USB charging ports on the central platform and hanging handrails for their comfort.
The driver’s cabin has an anti-vandalism lock and is ergonomically designed for comfortable and efficient driving. All necessary controls, such as air conditioning, defogger, radio, and signage consoles, among others, are housed in the upper dashboard unit, being easily accessible without interfering with the driver’s visibility.
Throughout its history, Castrosua has built over 360 units for Tussam. Currently, Seville has a fleet of 400 units, of which more than 50 percent are powered by compressed natural gas.
